The Legal Redress Committee works to address criminal justice and juvenile justice issues. The NAACP advocates to increase the awareness of gun violence, police brutality, racial profiling, and other injustices disproportionately affecting our communities. We build community partnerships to address the surge of gun violence within our communities. We take an aggressive approach to abolish and prosecute incidents of police brutality. We take a proactive approach to combating racial bias in law enforcement. We seek to eliminate disparate treatment of blacks in all aspects of law enforcement and criminal justice systems.
